Biomaterials Science

The Polymer Chemistry Group conducts research into synthetic polymeric biomaterials, and the use of biomaterials for improving human health. The group has had a long-standing interest in transport properties in hydrogels, and this continues with work on drug delivery.

Recently with the receipt of major research funding, the group has been working in tissue regeneration and antimicrobial surfaces.
